Our homes are built to the Welsh Government’s Development Quality Requirements which incorporate the Welsh Housing Quality Standard and Secured by Design – all part of Lifetime Homes.

Plas Peregrine, Stryd Shearwater & Pen Puffin (Thornton Road) Milford Haven – Area 3
As you can see work is progressing well where the kitchens are now being installed in the first of the properties to be completed at the site in Thornton Road where 59 new homes are being built. Sam Stalbow is the Development officer with the main contractors being Morganstone who have worked with us previously in Milford Haven at Marble Hall Road and Cuckoo Wood, Pembroke Dock. A priority of ateb is to encourage communities become self-sufficient, so along with Cam Nesa Pembrokeshire Youth, Morganstone are hosting a work placement for a trainee bricklayer Adam. More information here.

Three Meadows, Haverfordwest – Area 3
The development one the large plot of land in Albert Town, Haverfordwest where we have planning for 87 new homes is starting to take shape as you can see from this updated aerial shot. The building contract has been awarded to Hale Construction Ltd who have worked with us previously on several schemes including Middlehill, Saundersfoot and Howells Close, Monkton. There will be a phased completion of the properties with the first of these expected in the Spring 2019. More information from our Lettings team.

Brook Close, Steynton – Area 3
Work continues on the 10 new properties being built at Brooke Close. These houses will be general needs and are being built by Hale Construction who were the contractors on the first phase of the development that included the new homes Derwent Avenue. Peter Owen is again the Development Officer overseeing this and they are expected to be completed at the end of July or early August 2019.

Square & Compass – Area 5
Following on from the successful purchase of ateb’s first solar village, Ty Solar in Glanrhyd, work is progressing great on 2 pairs of semi-detached houses at Square & Compass. The special thing about these homes that are situated off the gas grid is that the primary source of heating will be from electricity powered by the sun. As you can see the installation is well on the way. The energy usage of each home will be closely monitored to ensure the systems give the greatest benefits to both those living in them and for the environment. Grove Crescent, Jameston – Area 1
Work will start soon in the New Year on a small site at Jameston. The homes are being built by WB Griffiths & Son Ltd and as soon as we have some photos we will upload them so that you can see the progress. It’s anticipated that they will be ready for occupation before the end of Autumn 2019. Follow the link for a site plan.

Oak Grove, Twycross, Saundersfoot – Area 3
As you can see from the artist impression we are expecting to take some properties from our sister company Mill Bay Homes at the end of February. These homes have been built to comply with the affordable element of the planning conditions; this means that a certain percentage of the new homes built by a developer must be available for rent and not sale, this percentage is set by the planning authority in the planning permission which also states that the properties have to rented through a social registered landlord such as ateb.

Maes Yr Odyn, Narberth – Area 3
Another affordable element opportunity has arisen in a private development in Narberth. The first four properties will be purchased by ateb from Persimmon next month (February) this purchase will be followed by various other new homes that will become available as the construction of the development progresses.
