This week, we marked the start of construction at The Croft, our new development in the heart of Llangwm. It was great to welcome a mix of familiar faces and new ones on site as we officially got this important project underway.
Colleagues from across the ateb Group and Mill Bay Homes came together with our construction partner Morganstone, to reflect on the progress to date and look ahead to what’s coming next. We were also joined by Councillor Michael John and Community Councillor Victoria Owens, who have both shown great support for this development.
A highlight of the day was welcoming pupils Dannie, Maggie, Lewis and Jessie from Cleddau Reach VC Primary School, along with their Headteacher Mr Buckley. The school is just a short walk from the site, so it was great to involve some of the children in the area who will see this development take shape over the coming months. The pupils dressed in hi-vis and hard hats, helped us mark the first chapter in what will become a new place to call home for dozens of local families.
When completed, The Croft will provide 67 high-quality homes, including 22 shared ownership homes available through Mill Bay Homes. These homes will offer a mix of options to help meet local needs – from those looking to rent, to those hoping to get their foot on the property ladder.
This development forms part of our ongoing commitment to deliver more affordable, sustainable homes across Pembrokeshire, creating better living solutions for the communities we serve.
We’d like to thank everyone who joined us on the day and all those working hard behind the scenes to make this happen. We’re proud to be investing in the future of Llangwm – and we can’t wait to share more updates as the site progresses.
