Our armed forces personnel (returning) scheme is designed to provide affordable homes for returning armed forces personnel who need help finding a home to rent.

How do I apply?

• Register with ChoiceHomes@Pembrokeshire for a home
• Complete the special Armed Forces Personnel application form that is available from ateb here, and email it back to us with any evidence you have (details are on the final page of the form).

What happens next?

Your application will be checked to see if you qualify for help under this scheme and we will ask for a copy of your discharge papers, or other relevant information, regarding your armed forces service that you havent provided already. We will then contact you.

What can you offer me?

ateb provides a home to about 3300 households in Pembrokeshire.  Most of our homes have been built in the last 20 years, with modern kitchens and bathrooms, full central heating and are located on small estates.

Rents are affordable: typically when you compare us to private rented homes. If your income is low you may qualify for help through Universal Credit and help with your Council Tax.  Our team of Housing Coordinators can advise you and assist with applications.

How long will it take to get a home?

This depends on what you want, and where you want to live.  As a rough guide, if you want to live in an area where we have lots of homes you will have a greater chance. 

This all sounds too good to be true – what’s the catch?

We provide up to 5 returning armed forces personnel applicants with a home each year

However, ateb will also help around another 250 households into a new home in Pembrokeshire each year through ChoiceHomes@Pembrokeshire.
