Our First Ever Art Exhibition – A Celebration of Creativity

This week marked a very special milestone as we proudly hosted our first ever art exhibition as part of the REACH project at the Torch Theatre.

The opening event welcomed more than 35 attendees, who came along to view and celebrate the artwork created by our customers, partners, and friends. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and filled with genuine pride as visitors explored a diverse and inspiring collection of pieces.

The exhibition, which was free to attend and closed last Saturday, proved to be a tremendous success – not just in numbers, but in the conversations, reflections, and shared appreciation it sparked.

Voices Behind the Exhibition

We were delighted to be joined at the opening by Dan, REACH National Project Manager from the Open University, who spoke about the wider vision and impact of the REACH Project.

One of the exhibition contributors, Cheryl, also shared her story in a moving and heartfelt speech. She spoke passionately about how taking part in the REACH project has positively influenced her life — a reminder that creativity and heritage can play a powerful role in wellbeing, confidence, and connection.

Thank You

This exhibition would not have been possible without the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund, whose funding continues to help bring opportunities like this to our communities.

Big thanks to everyone who contributed artwork, attended the exhibition, and supported the event.

Looking Ahead

We are excited to see the exhibition journey continue later this year at St Fagans National Museum of History, where it will form part of the national REACH exhibition – showcasing creativity, stories, and heritage from across Wales.

This first exhibition has been a wonderful experience, and we look forward to creating many more opportunities for expression, collaboration, and celebration in the future.
