We are proud to celebrate the achievement of our Board member, Nisha, who was recognised as a finalist in the Representation category at this year’s Mastering Diversity Awards at the Senedd.
The Mastering Diversity Awards honour individuals and organisations across Wales who are driving positive change in equality, inclusion and representation. The awards shine a light on people who champion belonging, challenge barriers, and amplify the voices of under-represented communities. Being shortlisted places nominees among Wales’ leading changemakers, and is recognition of their commitment and impact.
Nisha stood on stage alongside an inspiring group of finalists, whose work is reshaping conversations about diversity and inclusion across sectors. Her recognition highlights the passion she brings to supporting ateb’s purpose and our commitment to building a more inclusive, representative organisation. Her insight, lived experience and leadership play an important role in our decision-making and help us create better living solutions for our communities.

Reflecting on the evening, Nisha spoke powerfully about the spirit of the event “While I celebrated the evening as a finalist, sharing the stage with others whose passion and purpose went far beyond the ceremony itself, was truly inspiring. Diversity is bigger than the nine protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. It’s about shared humanity in its raw form and partnering with each other, blending kindness and compassion to create belonging, while providing the resources to flourish together”.
From everyone at ateb, congratulations, Nisha. Being recognised at a national level for your contribution to representation and inclusion is an achievement we are extremely proud of. Your dedication strengthens our organisation and supports our ongoing work to build a welcoming, diverse and empowering environment for customers and colleagues alike.
