A warm welcome home for new ateb customers at Parc Maen Hir, Letterston

We’ve recently welcomed customers into 26 freshly built homes at Parc Maen Hir in Letterston – a special moment for everyone involved, and an important step in building a growing, connected community.

These homes have been let through our local lettings policy, helping people with strong ties to the area stay close to family, work, and the places that mean the most to them.

Designed with modern living in mind, the homes are bright, energy-efficient spaces with room for people to settle in, feel comfortable, and make them their own.

Before moving day, customers were invited to a group presentation at Letterston Memorial Hall – a new approach we’ve introduced to help make the moving-in process feel smoother, simpler, and more supportive.

During the session, key paperwork was completed in advance, helping to ease pressure on the day itself. It also gave customers the chance to meet their new neighbours for the first time – an early opportunity to start getting to know one another and build a sense of community.

Members of the ateb team were also on hand to guide customers through different aspects of their homes and introduce the My ateb account, helping them feel supported, informed, and confident from day one.

When moving day arrived, it was all about the moment customers had been waiting for – collecting their keys and stepping through the door of a new home.

For many, it was a moment filled with excitement, relief, and the start of something new.

One new customer shared: “It’s really bright and airy and I’m really happy to have my own space and garden – I’m over the moon.”

Another added: “It’s so big, really nice for a new family. The kitchen is big and the garden is also really nice as well. I can’t wait to sit on the sofa and just chill in my new home.”

There was also a real sense of pride among the ateb team. Gareth, the area’s Housing Coordinator, said: “I feel really proud. I’m blown away by the level of workmanship and finishing on these properties – they’re fantastic, and I’m really happy for the people of Letterston, with so many people with local connections moving in.”

The development itself has been carefully thought through, not just in terms of the homes, but the wider environment too.

Nick, Development Project Manager, said: “One of my favourite features is the whole streetscape. It’s nice to see a development that isn’t just concrete and tarmac – there’s lots of enhanced landscaping features here, with mature planting that helps soften the impact of the development.”

By taking the time to support customers before they move in, and by delivering high-quality homes in a thoughtfully designed setting, Parc Maen Hir is already starting to feel like more than just a development – it’s becoming a place people can truly feel at home.
