Thousands of usable devices are thrown away every year, while many people are still unable to access the digital world. Through the National Device Bank, ateb is helping to close that gap.
Created by the Good Things Foundation, the National Device Bank rehomes donated devices that would otherwise end up in landfill. Each device is refurbished and distributed through the National Digital Inclusion Network to people who need them most.
As part of this initiative, ateb has various refurbished mobile phones available for customers who are digitally excluded and unable to access their own device. The phones will be gifted directly to customers or members of their household who meet the criteria.
The devices include a range of models, such as iPhones, Google Pixels, Samsung Galaxies and Nokia phones. When paired with free data from the National Databank, they will help people access essential services, keep in touch with family and friends, build digital skills, and stay connected in an increasingly digital world.
This initiative not only supports digital inclusion but also helps reduce electronic waste, giving technology a second life while making a real difference in local communities.
Customers must be over 18 and unable to access a mobile device to be eligible. Anyone who thinks they could benefit is encouraged to get in touch.
