Home visits

As part of the Welsh Government’s Renting Homes (Wales) Act, we’re required to visit every ateb home from time to time to carry out a quick home visit and inspection, both inside and out. 

Don’t worry – it’s nothing to stress about! These visits help us make sure your home remains safe, comfortable, and well looked after. 
Once we’ve visited, we won’t need to come back again for around two years. 

During your visit, we’ll: 

  • Have a friendly chat about how things are going 
  • Check the condition of your home (inside and outside) 
  • Ask who’s living there and confirm your ID 
  • Talk about any repairs, improvements, or support you might need 

If you have pets, please keep them secure in another room until we need to inspect that space – we’ll work with you to do a quick “swap” when needed. 

We’ve already started these visits and will contact you as soon as possible (over the next two years).
